Araki's Art (Breakdown)

There's no doubt that Hirohiko Araki is an amazing mangaka. His storys, characters, and art are amazing. His style is recognizable and is so very pleasing to the eye.

Today we are here to break down just exactly why its so pleasing.

To start off, its his knowledge of anatomy. Even in his small doodles you can see he knows where things should go. Every part is sized and shaped right, yet still retains his iconic style.

Secondly, the use of color schemes. If your familiar with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure then you'll know that Araki likes to switch up his color schemes, one character can have multiple color schemes. Every color scheme is individually tailored to fit that character.

And lasty, their iconic poses. Each Jojo Character has multiple iconic poses that bring out not only that characters personality, but Araki's as well. Despite the nature of the manga, the Jojo poses aren't meant to come off as violent or threatening, they are just supposed to be there as a spur of the moment kind of thing.

The most important part or Araki's drawing is Araki. Even if someone tried to imitate his style it wouldn't be the same. People find his drawings for many reasons, but they stay for his personality and ideas.
