People Don't Like La Squadra, here's why.

Lets address the elephant in the room- no one actually likes La Squadra.
Sure, people draw fanart, write fanfiction, and make edits- but there not really about La Squadra.

People like the idea of La Squadra.

The members of La Squadra have no character, they are flat. Members of La Squadra typically have, at most, 2 personality traits, both of which are meant to be 'bad' personality traits.
Let me use Ghiaccio as an example, since a lot of people 'like' him.
Ghiaccio's only personality trait is anger. He's angry for the sake of being angry, there is no reason for him to be angry. Araki intended for Ghiaccio's anger to make him a hated character, since the only redeeming features of him are his stand and appearance, which isnt saying much.

People like the idea of Ghiaccio.

The members of La Sqaudra are so flat that fans have taken it upon themselves to make there own versions of the characters personality's to make them more likeable. They are changing these characters, which were intended to be hated characters, and making them fit what they wanted.
For example, lets use Ghiaccio again.
As previously stated Ghiaccio's only personality trait is anger, but according to most 'fans' of La Squadra he's secretly sweet, easily embarrassed, and shy and he's just hiding it behind anger, he likes to ice-skate, and he's totally in love with Melone.

Melone is a creep,
that's his personality, Araki meant for him to be creepy, he is supposed to make people uncomfortable. In the manga and anime EVERYONE can see that all members of La Squadra are uncomfortable when with Melone- but, according to La Squadra 'fans' he's a secret romantic and overall flirt, he's seductive, and not a creep whatsoever.

As another example lets use Formaggio.
Formaggio has NO personality, he is arguable the flattest character of them all. He has very little screen time, and shows almost no personality during that time. The most personality shown is when he wants to torture the information out of Narancia, which I refuse consider part of his personality. But, much like Melone, La Squadra 'fans' tend to paint him as the hopeless romantic, who likes to crack jokes, and who is, 'best buds' with Illuso.

The point I am trying to make is that people don't like La Squadra, their original personalities and intentions were built to make them hated, and succeeded. But people thought that they were being quirky for liking a character that other people don't.
People have created their own version of La Squadra that fits what they want- and what they want is a version of Bruno's gang.
They way these 'fans' build the La Squadra personalitys are meant to mimic Bruno's gang. Proscuitto plays Bruno's role, as 'team mom', Formaggio plays the part of Narancia, the 'trickster', Illuso plays the part of Trish, being stuck up, Ghiaccio plays the part of Fugo.

The last thing I want to discuss is the people who ONLY like La Squadra. These people choose to hate Bruno's gang for the sake of hating Bruno's gang. They typically will argue that La Squadra is better, even though, as proven above, they are not.

Of course I am NOT trying to bash peoples opinions, and I can admit, La Squadra has some pretty cool stands and overall character designs, but, if someone can take someone else's character and bend them to fit their fantasy because they want to, I think they need to re-consider their opinions.

P.s, the only La Squadra character that isn't flat, and has their own personality, which isn't fan made, is Pesci.
